There was a lightning start in Seinajoki with three goals in the first 11 minutes, but in the end the spoils were shared between SJK and Gnistan.

SJK 2-2 Gnistan

A run of three successive defeats for SJK was ended in fine style last time out, as they beat HJK 3-0, while Gnistan's tally of three straight wins was ended only narrowly by league leaders KuPS.

Normality for both sides looked to be restoring in the ninth minute, when Roman Eremenko fed Gabriel Europeaus to give the visitors the lead, only for SJK to hit back seconds later through Eetu Mommo's first goal for the club.

However, Gnistan then went straight back up the other end and restored their advantage with one of the goals of the season. Rachide Gnanou played a long ball over the top, and Eremenko watched it drop over his shoulder before volleying it spectacularly into the top corner.

Those three efforts were the only shots on target of a first half which quickly calmed down, before a second half which was dominated by the home side. That dominance was rewarded 11 minutes from time, when Apostolos Vellios struck to earn a share of the spoils.

It's one point from their last two now for Gnistan, who go above HJK into fourth on goals scored but are a point behind AC Oulu and, crucially, four points inside the top half. SJK stay 10th but every point increases their survival chances.
