Uganda to assess squad

“Playing in the qualifiers with teams like Tunisia, who will play in the FIFA World Cup, Libya and Botswana will be a great opportunity,” Put told Xinhua.
The qualifiers will be played on a home-and-away basis across six matchdays during the FIFA International Windows between September 2026 and March 2027.
Matchdays one and two will be played from September 21st to October 6th October, while matchdays three and four are scheduled for 9th to 17th November 2026. The final two matchdays will take place from 22nd to 30th March 2027.

While they have not advanced beyond the group stages since the tournament expanded, they are guaranteed hosts for the upcoming 2027 edition.
