The Baltimore Ravens released a statement on Monday stating that the team has excused, not suspended or released, wide receiver Diontae Johnson (28) from all team activities this week.

Johnson only has one reception for six yards since the Ravens acquired him from the Carolina Panthers before the NFL trade deadline.

When asked about Johnson and more details regarding the team's decision, head coach John Harbaugh made it clear that it's handled and that the team is focused solely on their upcoming matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Ravens ran into issues with Johnson two weeks ago after he refused to come into the game. Baltimore suspended him for their previous game against the Philadephia Eagles and will seem to do everything they can to keep him away from the team until the season is over.

This now comes after the 49ers did something similar with linebacker De'Vondre Campbell by suspending him for the rest of the year after he refused to come into play during the team's matchup against the Los Angeles Rams

Baltimore will look to get revenge on their long-hated rivals the Steelers in this week's matchup, one that could possibly decide who wins the AFC North title.

The Ravens (9-5) lost to the Steelers (10-4) earlier this year by a score of 18-16 and are just one game back of the division crown with three games remaining. Baltimore will travel to Houston to face the Texans on Christmas following their game against Pittsburgh then will end the season at home against the Cleveland Browns
