Washington Commanders cornerback Marshon Lattimore (28) participated in his first practice with the team since being acquired at the trade deadline a few weeks ago.

Lattimore returned from his hamstring injury and saw the practice field on Wednesday. Head coach Dan Quinn didn't confirm whether or not Lattimore will be ready for the team's upcoming game against the Tennessee Titans but remains optimistic.

"We're pumped to get him back on the field," said Quinn. "It's hard to predict on soft-tissue injuries."

Lattimore was dealt to the Commanders in a trade with the New Orleans Saints ahead of the NFL trade deadline. The cornerback currently has 30 tackles and two pass deflections on the season.

The former Saints cornerback, who was known to have his bouts with Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans, will have to look towards finding a new rival within the NFC East. The Commanders are currently 7-5 and are second in the division behind the Philadelphia Eagles (9-2).

Washington are currently on a three-game losing streak where the pass defence has given up 663 yards through the air with three touchdowns and only one interception. Having Lattimore on the field can be a huge boost to a Washington secondary that needs it.

The four-time Pro-Bowler was taken with the 11th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft by the Saints, going on to win Defensive Rookie of the Year. He has 405 tackles, 15 interceptions, and five fumble recoveries in his eight-year career.
