Cleveland Guardians star third baseman Jose Ramirez (32) extended his hitting streak to 20 games during Tuesday night's action against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Ramirez finished the game 1-4 with two runs scored and a strikeout.

The Guardians went on to lose 9-5 as they have now lost three straight. They will look to avoid the sweep in the final game of the series against the Dodgers on May 28th.

Ramirez has hit home runs and 26 RBI for the Guardians so far this season while racking up 14 stolen bases. He was on a tear entering Tuesday's game, almost hitting .400 during the hit streak.

The veteran six-time All-Star is currently slashing .311/.365/.885 entering Wednesday's action. His .311 batting average is the 10th best in the majors, just short of teammate Steven Kwan, who is batting .314 this season.

Ramirez has made the All-Star team for the past four years and was the American League Most Valuable Player runner-up in 2020.

He earned his fifth Silver Slugger award last year, making it three in total of the past five years.
