The team granted Marte's request and placed him on the restricted list ahead of Friday's match against the St. Louis Cardinals, as the season resumed after the break.
"He asked for some time away just to get grounded and get himself back to where he can come back here and play and be a force for us," said manager Torey Lovullo. "It's kind of a day-to-day situation. I've had limited contact with him. ... We all know what he is dealing with. It's been unfortunate."
"(Marte) retreats a little bit when he gets upset and I respect that space and I'm going to give him that space. He just needs a couple of personal days right now."
An official return date for Marte after the incident has yet to be decided as the All-Star handles an unfortunate incident that left the robbers taking personal items and jewelry from his home.
Marte went into the All-Star Game as a starter after slashing .290/.394/.567 290 with 19 home runs and 40 RBI in 68 games this season, making it back-to-back years on the National League All-Star team.
The former Silver Slugger even hit a two-run double in the first inning of the 2025 All-Star Game to give his squad a 2-0 lead, which eventually helped lift the National League to a win over the American League for the second time in three years.
