The Phoenix Suns signed star point guard Devin Booker (28) to a two-year, $145 million extension on Thursday that'll keep him on the team through the 2029-2030 season.

Booker's extension salary is the highest in NBA history. It now marks his third extension with the team as he looks to possibly spend his entire career as a member of the Suns

The new contract will put Booker's annual salary higher than any player in the NFL or its history as well.

Booker was drafted by the Suns with the 13th overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft and spent the next 10 years making a name for himself as one of the league's premier guards.

During this past season, Booker averaged 25.6 points per game, his lowest since the 2020-2021 season...when he made the All-Star team. But his 7.1 assists per game were a career-high and has now made it eight seasons where he averages at least four rebounds per game.

Booker's 89.4% free-throw percentage was the second-best of his career, sitting behind his 2019-2020 season when he shot almost 92% from the line.

The four-time all-star and two-time All-NBA guard who originally signed a 4 year, $220.4 million extension, is now under contract for five more years with a $316 million payday.
