Dennis Schroder (31) is heading to the Golden State Warriors after a trade deal was struck with the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday.

The Nets will be receiving De’Anthony Melton, who is recovering from season-ending ACL surgery, and a package of second-round picks as part of the trade, which will officially go through on Sunday.

Schroder is averaging 18.4 points and 6.6 assists this year while shooting a career-high 39% from behind the arc - looking to boost a 14-10 Warriors team that ranks 14th in points per game.

Schroder is now on his eighth team in 12 seasons, previously playing for the Atlanta Hawks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics, Toronto Raptors, Houston Rockets, and now Brooklyn Nets.

In 2023, Schroder led an undefeated German national team to their first-ever title at the FIBA Basketball World Cup, even beating out Team USA and then a tough Serbian team in the final.

Schroder is currently in the final year of his two-year, $25.4 million contract and will become an unrestricted free agent after this season.
