Jarry left Thursday's game against the Boston Bruins during the second period with a lower-body injury. Being placed on the IR means Jarry will at least a full week.
But the 30-year-old was given the win after the Oilers won 3-1, improving his season record to 12-3-1 with a .906 save percentage and 2.73 goals against average.
The Oilers called up Connor Ingram from their AHL affiliate Bakersfield Condors until Jarry can return.
On December 12th, the Oilers struck a deal with the Penguins that sent long-time Edmonton goalie Stuart Skinner, along with defenceman Brett Kulak and a 2029 second-round pick, in exchange for Jarry and forward Sam Poulin.
More on that trade deal here.
