German handball champions Füchse Berlin are improving in the Bundesliga after their disastrous false start. The Berlin team won 35-23 (19-13) against ThSV Eisenach on Sunday to record their third league victory in a row and their fifth win in a row in all competitions. The defending champions are in sixth place in the table with eight points.
SG Flensburg-Handewitt (12-0) moved up to second place behind unblemished leaders THW Kiel (12-0) with a 32-28 (15-12) win over FA Göppingen.
Champions League winners SC Magdeburg are currently taking part in the Club World Cup in Egypt, and the top clash on matchday six between SCM and Kiel has been postponed to 23 December.
