Matthew Tkachuk and Matthews were both sidelined for Monday's loss to Sweden while Brady left the game during the first period with an injury. But all three are in the starting lineups for Team USA for the big game.
"Feeling a lot better," said Matthews. "A lot better. Just woke up Monday, just a lot of discomfort. Skating didn't feel very good, so just made a decision with the staff to hold me out for that game and just focus on feeling better. Definitely been making a lot of progress."
"I'm ready to go. It's going to be an incredible game. I'll be ready to go."
The Tkachuk brothers are both tied for second on the team this tournament in goals (two each) while Matthews has a single assist.
Defenceman Charlie McAvoy will be the lone player out for the USA on Thursday night after being hospitalized following the team's first matchup against Finland.
McAvoy was diagnosed with a shoulder infection along with damage to his AC joint but reassured he's out of the hospital and will be cheering on his teammates.
