Chicago Blackhawks 3-2 Utah Mammoth
Utah originally took a 2-1 lead heading into the first period thanks to a pair of goals from Barrett Hayton (9) and Dylan Guenther (30) - the first 30-goal season of his young career.
But Chicago rallied in front of the home crowd thanks to a game-tying Andre Burakovsky (11) goal in the second period. After neither team found the net in the third, Chicago's Frank Nazar (9) came through in overtime on the power play as Chicago improved to 24-29-11 on the season.
Utah, still holding strong with the top Wild Card spot in the Western Conference, fell to 34-25-5.
Chicago's Connor Bedard led all players with an 8.5 performance rating.
Los Angeles Kings 5-4 Columbus Blue Jackets
The Kings got out to a 2-0 lead in the first period with goals from Scott Laughton (10) and Artemi Panarin (21). But Columbus would put up three unanswered goals, two from Conor Garland (9), across the first and second to retake the lead.
The lead would change once more when Adrian Kempe (24) and Brian Dumoulin (2) made it 4-3, but Columbus wouldn't go away after a clutch Kirill Marchenko (23) power-play goal with under two minutes in the third tied it up to send it into overtime.
From there, Kempe (25) would play hero to win in overtime as the Kings improved to 26-23-14. Meanwhile, Columbus fell to 32-21-10.
Kempe led all players with an 8.7 rating for the game.
Washington Capitals 7-3 Calgary Flames
The Caps would score three goals in the first. The Flames would score three goals in the second. Then the Caps would score four goals in the third. It doesn't get much simpler than that for lead changes.
Connor McMichael (10) scored twice for the Caps, with his second being the tie-breaker in the third that kick-started the four-goal period.
Washington improved to 32-26-7, while the Flames dropped to 25-31-7.
Calgary's Justin Sourdif led all players with an 8.4 rating.
Ottawa Senators 2-0 Vancouver Canucks
The Sens extended their point streak to seven games with the win, as all it took was a pair of goals from Ridly Greig (10) and Brady Tkachuk (17).
Ottawa goaltender James Reimer only had to make 16 saves en route to his first shutout of the season and 31st of his career as his squad improved to 32-22-9, while the Canucks remain the worst team in the league at 19-37-8.
Reimer led all players with an 8.2 rating, while teammate Brady Tkachuk led all skaters with a 7.8.
New York Rangers 6-2 Philadelphia Flyers
The Rangers would score three straight goals twice in their win over the Flyers, with Mika Zibanejad (26, 27) scoring in both of those goal streaks to make it his fourth multi-goal game of the season. He led all players with an 8.2 rating.
The Rangers improved to 25-30-8, still sitting in last in the Eastern Conference, while the Flyers improved to 29-23-11.
