Wild 5-2 Islanders
Five different players scored a goal each for the Wild on Friday as the team improved to 6-7-3 on the season.
Vinnie Hinostroza (2) and Danila Yurov (2) put the Wild up 2-0 heading into the second period.
Emil Heineman (6) would cut the lead in half with the first Islanders goal. But the Wild would respond with an unassisted goal from Brock Faber (3) two minutes later before Marco Rossi (4) more than doubled their lead to 4-1.
Jean-Gabriel Pageau (4) would give the Islanders a bit of life with just over a minute left in the second.
But Kirill Kaprizov (9) scored the only goal of the third period to put the game out of reach.
The Islanders fell to 6-6-2.
Rangers 4-1 Red Wings
All seven of the Rangers' wins this season have come on the road as they improve to 7-6-2 on the year (7-1-1 on the road).
Will Cuylle (3) put the Rangers up 1-0 in the first until J.T. Compher (3) tied it up for the Red Wings five minutes later.
But the Rangers would score three unanswered from Noah Laba (3), Artemi Panarin (3), and Alexis Lafrenière (2), respectively, to put the game out of reach.
Rangers goaltender Jonathan Quick would put up 32 saves - the most from him in his four starts this season.
The Red Wings have lost two straight as they fell to 9-6-0.
Blackhawks 4-0 Flames
Tyler Bertuzzi (7) scored twice before teammates Andre Burakovsky (6) and Connor Bedard (8) put the other two goals up as the Blackhawks shut out the Flames.
It's the Blackhawks' first shutout win since December 7, 2023, when they beat the Anaheim Ducks 1-0.
Chicago goaltender Spencer Knight put up 33 saves in his first shutout since January 18th - also ironically against Anaheim.
Calgary fell to a league-worst 4-10-2, Blackhawks improved to 7-5-3.
Winnipeg Jets 1-2 San Jose Sharks
Goals from Winnipeg's Josh Morrissey (2) and San Jose's Macklin Celebrini (9) had the game going into the third quarter all tied up at one a piece.
But San Jose pulled away in the end through William Smith's goal to improve to 6-6-3.
