NHL roundup: Logan Cooley scores career-high four goals in Mammoth win over Vegas

Utah Mammoth forward Logan Cooley stole the show during the NHL's seven-game slate on November 24th with a four-goal effort as his team took down the Vegas Golden Knights!

Mammoth 5-1 Golden Knights

It was all Logan Cooley as the Mammoth improved to 12-8-3. After putting his team up 2-0 with his first goal of the game, Cooley would go on to score his other three of the night all in the third period, with two unassisted.

His teammate Dylan Guenther (9) scored the other goal for Utah, which Cooley even assisted on. 

Ivan Barbashev (8) scored the lone goal for Vegas as they fell to 10-5-7, tying Utah as they both sit with 27 points in the standings. 

Panthers 8-3 Predators

A.J. Greer (6) led the way with two goals and an assist as the Panthers handed the Preds their eighth loss in their last nine games. 

Despite being outshot 39-26, Florida put up four goals on a game-high 15 shots in the first period. 

They improved to 12-9-1 on the season. 

Devils 4-3 Red Wings

The Devils scored three times in the first period en route to a win as they have now recorded at least one point in every home game so far this season, making it nine straight as they improved to 14-7-1.

Timo Meier (7), Nico Hischier (7), and Cody Glass (4) scored the first three for the Devils to get them out to a 3-1 lead with Alex DeBrincat (11) scoring for Detroit.

A power-play goal from James van Riemsdyk (2) cut the lead to 3-2, but Connor Brown (6) doubled the Devils' lead once more.

Detroit tried to rally again with a goal from Dylan Larkin (13) in the third, but it was for naught as they fell to 13-9-1 on the season.

Lightning 3-0 Flyers 

Brandon Hagel (11) scored twice for the Lightning, now making it back-to-back two-goal games for the veteran forward. 

He also recorded his 11th assist of the year on a goal from teammate Anthony Cirelli (9). Goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy picked up his first shutout of the season 

Tampa Bay has now won four straight as they improved to 13-7-2. Thanks to Detroit losing to the Devils, the Lightning now take possession of first place in the Atlantic Division. 

Capitals 5-1 Blue Jackets

Jakob Chychrun (8) scored two of Washington's five straight goals as they improved to 

Justin Sourdif racked up two assists, having just one in the previous 22 games.

Denton Mateychuk (5) scored the lone goal for Columbus, who fell to

Rangers 3-2 Blues

After Dylan Holloway (6) put the Blues up 1-0, the Rangers would go on to score three straight courtesy of Vincent Trocheck (4), Alexis Lafrenière (5), and Adam Edstrom (2).

Brayden Schenn (4) would lead to 3-2 for the Blues with just over a minute left in the game. But St. Louis could rally and ultimately fell to () on the season. 

Kings 2-1 Senators

After two scoreless periods, Warren Foegele (4) got the Kings on the board first before Ottawa's Fabian Zetterlund (3) tied it up 1-1.

But with just over six minutes left to go in the game, Brandt Clarke (3) put the Kings up 2-1 as they improved to 11-6-6.
