Pittsburgh Penguins superstar Sidney Crosby scored the game-winning goal in overtime to give his team their fifth-straight win during Sunday's slate of NHL games!

Penguins 5-4 Blue Jackets

Pittsburgh found themselves in a big hole early on after going down 4-1 just 47 seconds into the second period.

Noel Acciari (4), Tommy Novak (8), and Rickard Rakell (6) would score three straight for the Penguins to tie things up, the latter of which Crosby assisted on.

Then, the future Hall of Famer would do what he does best and come in the clutch by scoring the game-winner in OT for his 24th on the season.

Pittsburgh went on to win their fifth straight as they improved to 20-12-9, while the Blue Jackets dropped to an Eastern Conference-worst 18-16-7.

Canadiens 4-3 Stars

In other overtime action, Lane Hutson (7) sent home the game-winner for the Habs as they improved to 23-13-6, sitting at second in the Eastern Conference.

Mavrik Bourque (7) and Wyatt Johnston (21) put the Stars up 2-1, but Montreal's Oliver Kapanen (13) and Juraj Slafkovský (15) gave the Habs a 3-2 lead heading into the third frame.

Johnston would score his 22nd of the season, and second of the game, to give the Stars one last chance to pull off a win. Unfortunately for Dallas, they couldn't pull through and fell to 25-9-8.

Panthers 2-1 Avalanche

Florida ended Colorado's 10-game win streak after holding them to one goal and 0-for-4 on the power play.

Two unassisted goals from Sam Bennett (14) and Aaron Ekblad (3) were all that was needed for the Panthers to bounce back from their Winter Classic loss to the New York Rangers

Goaltender Daniil Tarasov made a couple of crucial saves against Colorado superstar Nathan MacKinnon to secure the win as Florida improved to 22-16-3.

Colorado still sits atop the NHL with a 31-3-7 record - no other team in the NHL has more than 25 wins. The Avs and the Stars are also the only two teams with fewer than 10 losses in regulation this season.

Blackhawks 3-2 Golden Knights

Tyler Bertuzzi was the Blackhawks' saviour in Sunday night's win over the Golden Knights after putting up his fifth-career hat-trick.

His first two goals were both to tie the game up, first at 1-1 then at 2-2 to send it to overtime, where he single-handedly gave the Blackhawks the win as they improved to 3-0-1 in their past four games.

Chicago is now 17-18-7 on the season, while the Golden Knights dropped to 17-11-12 after putting up two goals on just 15 shots.

Hurricanes 3-1 Devils

The Canes ended a three-game losing streak thanks to goals from Nikolaj Ehlers (11), Taylor Hall (8), and Logan Stankoven (7).

Both teams went for a combined 0-for-7 on the power play, while Canes' rookie goaltender Brandon Bussi improved to a stellar 14-2 on the season. Six of his starts he's allowed one goal or less.

The Devils fell to 22-18-2, while Carolina improved to 25-14-3.
