Gordon played only three minutes during their Friday matchup against the Houston Rockets before sustaining the injury.
“Yeah, he’s going through it. We’re trying to make sure we get the correct answer, to make sure we’re doing the right things,” said Nuggets head coach David Adelman on Gordon's re-evaluation in four to six weeks.
In 13 games this season, Gordon was averaging a career-high in both 18.8 points per game (53.2% shooting) and three-point percentage (44.4%).
The 30-year-old was also averaging 5.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.
Denver, who will also continue to be without starting point guard Christian Braun due to a sprained ankle, are currently tied for second in the Western Conference with a 12-4 record, sitting beside the Los Angeles Lakers.
