Englishman Shaun Murphy (42) has beaten Australia's Neil Robertson (42) 6-2 at the Masters in Alexandra Palace.
The result sees the world number seven progress to the semi-finals of the tournament.
Robertson was invited to the Masters in the 11th hour, replacing Ronnie O'Sullivan.
'The Rocket' backed out of the tournament 'on medical grounds' after a series of bad results.
Murphy started the tie well, taking four of the first five frames to lead 4-1 in front of the London crowd.
He then claimed two of the following three to clinch the win, with Robertson's couple of frames on the way just stumbling blocks.
Murphy will face either Northern Irishman Mark Allen or compatriot Mark Selby in the semi-finals.
Allen and Selby are scheduled to face-off in the evening session at Alexandra Palace tonight.
