Raul Moro joined Ajax from Real Valladolid last summer for a reported fee of €10 million. The Amsterdam side spent over a year scouting the Spanish youth international, who has not panned out at Ajax so far, providing one assist and scoring just once in 21 official games this season.
On Thursday, LaLiga outfit Osasuna confirmed the arrival of Raul Moro, who signed a 5.5-year deal in Pamplona. The club paid Ajax €5 million for 50% of Moro's player rights. The transfer fee could reportedly rise through easily obtainable bonuses.
"Raul is a talented and technically skilled player who has already demonstrated his abilities in Spain. Unfortunately, he was unable to fully settle in the Netherlands, which led to his desire to return to Spain," Ajax director Marijn Beuker said on the club website.
"We hope that he will be able to continue to develop in his familiar surroundings and demonstrate his qualities in La Liga. We would like to thank Raúl for his commitment to Ajax and wish him every success at Osasuna."
The 23-year-old Moro joins Osasuna as the club are in twelfth in LaLiga with 22 points, just three points above the relegation zone.
