Raul Moro is set to become an Ajax player after the Amsterdam club and Real Valladolid agreed to a deal for the Spanish winger.

According to several reliable Dutch reports, the 22-year-old Moro will join Ajax on a five-year deal. Ajax will pay up to €11 million for the Spanish right-winger - the exact budget the Amsterdam club had set aside for the youth international's transfer.

Ajax, where John Heitinga has taken over from the departed Francesco Farioli, want Moro to play a pivotal role on the right wing, which should allow 20-year-old Mika Godts to flourish on the left.

Raul Moro has just completed a Euro U21 campaign with Spain. The Valladolid winger was a standout for La Roja with two assists in the group stage before being eliminated by England in the quarter-finals.

The young Spaniard was set to join the Amsterdam giants in January before a shoulder injury prevented his transfer from completing. The Spanish winger stayed at Valladolid, with whom he could not avoid relegation from LaLiga.

Moro played 34 games in all competitions for Real Valladolid last season, scoring five goals and providing six assists.
