Another weekend of Premier League action has passed with several standout performances across the fixtures - meaning it's time to take a look at who makes Flashscore's Team of the Week.

Manchester City got back to winning ways with a 4-0 triumph over Newcastle while both Liverpool and Arsenal picked up important victories.

Tottenham also put a stop to their slide down the table with a 1-0 win against Manchester United.

Elsewhere, Bournemouth defeated Southampton and Everton continued their good form by beating Crystal Palace.

Let's take a look at our Premier League Team of the Week, based on Flashscore's player ratings.

Goalkeeper

Guglielmo Vicario (Spurs) 8.1

Guglielmo Vicario made his return from injury in Spurs' 1-0 win against Manchester United, playing a starring role in his side keeping their second consecutive Premier League clean sheet.

The Italian made six saves to ensure his side picked up a much-needed victory to arrest their slide down the Premier League table.

Defence

Pedro Porro (Spurs) 8

Another top performer in Spurs' win was defender Pedro Porro, who made three key passes in a typically strong attacking display.

Porro was also assured defensively and made four tackles, three interceptions and two clearances.

James Tarkowski (Everton) 8.1

Everton have enjoyed a resurgence of late under David Moyes and continued their strong form with a 2-1 win against Crystal Palace.

James Tarkowski put in an exceptional defensive performance to help his side to a valuable three points - making three tackles, five interceptions and 10 clearances.

Sepp van den Berg (Brentford) 8.2

Sepp van den Berg enjoyed a productive showing in Brentford's 1-0 win over London rivals West Ham before being substituted on the hour mark.

The Dutchman made nine clearances and two blocks as part of an all-around excellent defensive display from the Bees - playing a key role in his side keeping just their second clean sheet of 2025.

Midfield

Yankuba Minteh (Brighton) 9.1

Brighton faced Chelsea twice in the space of a week - once in the FA Cup and more recently in the Premier League - and came out on top on both occasions.

A major contributor to their latest victory (a 3-0 win) was winger Yankuba Minteh, who showed superb composure and netted twice against the Blues with two instinctive finishes.

The Gambian also provided a creative spark throughout the match by making three key passes.

Omar Marmoush (Manchester City) 9.9

Manchester City's latest big-money signing announced himself to the Premier League in their 4-0 victory against Newcastle - with Omar Marmoush netting a hat-trick in the first half on Saturday.

The Egyptian first latched on to a long ball from goalkeeper Ederson before lobbing Newcastle shot-stopper Martin Dubravka.

He then added a second and third to his tally - becoming just the second Egyptian to net a Premier League hat-trick (joining, of course, Mohamed Salah).

Marmoush's 9.9 rating was the highest of any player across the weekend, making him our Player of the Week.

Ryan Christie (Bournemouth) 8.7

Ryan Christie was at the centre of Bournemouth's 3-1 win against south coast rivals Southampton.

The midfielder bagged a goal and an assist during the victory, with his strike from outside the area particularly catching the eye.

Bournemouth are now on a club-record run of seven away games without defeat and have Christie to thank for their latest three points.

Carlos Alcaraz (Everton) 8.2

The second of three Everton players to feature in our Team of the Week, new signing Carlos Alcaraz netted his first goal for the club in their 2-1 win over Crystal Palace.

Alcaraz was on hand to convert from close range late in the match to seal a last-minute victory - adding to the assist he picked up for Beto's opener in the first half.

The Argentine is fast becoming a fan favourite with the Toffees and will be a key player in the remaining months of the campaign.

Ethan Nwaneri (Arsenal) 8.5

Arsenal threw themselves back into the Premier League title race last weekend with a 2-0 win against Leicester despite having to field a depleted attacking line-up.

One of the key performers was teenager Ethan Nwaneri who proved he can be relied on to make crucial offensive contributions in the absence of the Gunners' more experienced forwards.

Nwaneri assisted Mikel Merino's opener with a superb cross for the Spaniard to head home while also hitting the woodwork twice himself.

Attack

Beto (Everton) 8.7

Beto is our third and final Everton player to feature in this edition of our Premier League Team of the Week.

The striker has largely struggled since moving to England but is one of the in-form players in the Premier League at the time of writing with four goals in his last three league appearances.

His latest came in the win against Crystal Palace after chipping an inch-perfect effort over both a defender and goalkeeper from inside the area.

Mikel Merino (Arsenal) 9

Plenty of noise was made surrounding Arsenal's lack of attacking options before the weekend but an unlikely hero emerged to secure all three points for the Gunners.

Mikel Merino - naturally a midfielder - was substituted onto the pitch to play as a striker for the remaining 20 minutes of the match and twice converted to seal a crucial victory for his side.

The Spaniard first headed home from close range before firing into the bottom corner to confirm victory after a surprisingly solid shift up-front for his side.
