Filipe Luis is reportedly in contention to replace Liam Rosenior at Chelsea after being brutally sacked by Brazilian giants Flamengo in early March.

The 40-year-old had a remarkable year-and-a-half at Flamengo, winning the league and the Copa Libertadores during his spell.

Filipe Luis was then shockingly sacked following their 8-0 win over Madureira RJ after reports came out saying he had been interviewed by BlueCo.

It’s understood that Filipe Luis initially thought he was in talks to replace Enzo Maresca, only to later find out it was for the Strasbourg job. He then pulled out of the talks.

According to The Mirror, Filipe Luis, who spent a season at Chelsea as a player, is now in contention to take over the Blues.
