Turkish outfit Trabzonspor have reached an agreement with Manchester United to sign out-of-favour goalkeeper Andre Onana on loan, according to reports.

However, while a deal may be concluded between the clubs, the decision now rests with Onana over whether he wants to move to Turkey.

Despite the transfer window being closed around the majority of European leagues, the Super Lig market remains open until Friday, September 12th. As a result, after selling goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir to Galatasaray for €36 million, Trabzon are now keen on a move for Onana to replace him.

The Cameroonian has fallen out of favour after a tough 2024/25 season and has found himself usurped by Altay Bayindir in the pecking order. Onana made his first appearance of the season in the Carabao Cup, in which he seriously struggled as United fell to a humiliating penalty shootout defeat to Grimsby.

In addition, Manchester United signed Antwerp's 23-year-old number one, Senne Lammens, for a reported £18.2 million on Deadline Day, with Onana's chances of starting diminishing further.
