FC Midtjylland have now only recorded one win against Brondby in eight attempts and the poor statistics continues when Mathias Kvistgaarden and Nicolai Vallys gave the visitors a 2-0 win in Herning
"It can't be worse than losing at home", said Thomasberg to dr.dk.
"The good thing is that we have a lot of points, but it was definitely not the start we wanted. The matches in the championship playoffs will be close, so we have to be more skilled, so that it won't be too random whether we win or lose", says Thomas Thomasberg.
Aral Simsir was also upset that FC Midtjylland now have left a door open for FC Copenhagen to catch up with the Danish champions.
"We shouldn't concentrate so much on whether FC Copenhagen win or not. We should focus on ourselves. If we had won today, it wouldn't have mattered", said Aral Simsir.

"But now they have the opportunity to reduce the gap to one point, and that's of course bitter, but we just have to concentrate on ourselves and do well against Randers on Friday."
FC Midtjylland otherwise carried plenty of momentum into the playoffs after finishing off the regular season with comfortable win against AaB in Aalborg (4-1) and Randers (4-2) .
But Sunday's performance was far from what Thomas Thomasberg saw in the last two matches of the regular season.
"We saw a worse performance today. We weren't skilled enough in the offensive and looking at the whole game, it was of course a disappointment that we didn't take advantage of the momentum that we had after the regular season.
Randers will face FC Copenhagen on Monday night and Randers on Friday night.
