FC Midtjylland came from behind to book a 2-1 win on Monday evening against Randers to claim three hugely important points and move into second spot in the Danish Superliga.

Without looking impressive, Mike Tullberg's men recorded their fourth successive win in all competitions on Monday night when they overturned a 1-0 deficit to win 2-1 against Randers at home.

Thanks to the win, FC Midtjylland moved into second spot in the Danish Superliga, two points behind AGF but one point ahead of FC Copenhagen

FC Midtjylland will face Nottingham Forest at City Ground on Thursday in the Europa League.

There wasn't much action in the first 45 minutes in a disappointing half, with chances few and afar, but it changed straight from the start of the second half as Randers took a surprise lead.

Nikolas Dyhr curled a cross into the Midtjylland box, where Oliver Olsen was left completely unmarked to steer a strong header into the net. The home side, however, almost immediately got back into the game as South Korean striker Gue-Sung Cho got on the scoreboard with a spectacular finish to restore parity.

Ara Simsir floated the ball into the box, where Mads Bech Sorensen headed the ball back across the goal for Gue-Sung Cho to volley home from close range.

And 11 minutes later, the home side claimed the lead when Ousmane Diao flicked a long throw-in from Bech Sorensen deep into the box, where Nikolas Dyhr was unfortunate to steer the ball into his own net.

Randers attempted to get back into the match, but the home side held on for the win.
