Elmer Moller is ready for the main tournament at the French Open, even though he lost his qualifying final in Paris on Thursday, says the organizers on the tournament website.
Moller is set to face American Tommy Paul, ranked No 12 in the world, in the first round, it says.
Moller has been drawn as one of the so-called "lucky losers" who have been handed a ticket to the tournament as a result of cancellations.
This is the first time that Moller will participate in the main tournament at a Grand Slam tournament.
He has previously played qualification for Grand Slam tournaments, but has not yet managed to win the required three qualifying matches.
This week he won the first two matches, but then lost the decisive match to Italian Matteo Gigante with 3-6, 6-7.
Nevertheless, Moller can now look forward to participating in the prestigious clay tournament in Paris.
21-year-old Moller has made great strides in the past year in the world rankings, where he is currently number 108.
In addition to a triumph on the Challenger Tour, he has delivered great individual results and helped secure Denmark's sensational Davis Cup victory over Serbia earlier this year.
Holger Rune and Clara Tauson also take part in the French Open, which begins on Sunday.
