It was a frustrated Clara Tauson who crashed out of the WTA 250 tournament in Nottingham, England, on Friday afternoon.
The Danish tennis player was frustated at herself, the crowd and not least at the referee during the quarter-final against Magda Linette from Poland.
Linette, ranked 31 in the world, dominated the match pretty much from start to finish, winning in two sets by 6-2 and 7-5 on a day, when Tauson, apart from taking four straight games in the second set from 1-2 to 5-2, really struggled to get her game going.
Tauson thus failed to live up to its seeding at the tournament in Nottingham, which serves as a prelude to the grand slam tournament Wimbledon.
The Dane was seeded second, but the tournament already came to an end for Tauson in the quarter-final.
Clara Tauson's next task is Wimbledon, which begins on 30 June.
