Cross-country: Women's team sprint
09:45 CET - Cross-country and Biathlon Centre Fabio Canal (Tesero)
In the women’s finals, 26 teams are competing and are expected to finish in about 18 minutes.
Sweden will be desperate to avenge their disastrous women's 4 x 7.5 km relay, where Ebba Andersson crashed hard and flipped over, leaving bitter rivals Norway to race away with the gold medals.
Sweden won silver in the women's team sprint at the Beijing Olympics and is tipped by many experts to claim the gold in Wednesday's race after a dominant performance at these Games, where they have won eight medals in women's cross-country events so far, including three golds.

However, the Swedes will be handicapped by the absence of Linn Svahn, who will miss Wednesday’s women’s cross-country team sprint freestyle relay after developing mild cold symptoms. The team will instead be represented by Joanna Sundling and Maja Dahlqvist, who now carry Sweden’s medal hopes in the event.
Norway will once again look to steal top spot on the podium from the Swedish favourites, while Switzerland’s Nadine Faehndrich and Anja Weber, who earned a World Cup podium at the event in March 2025, could also make an impact.
Alpine skiing: Women's slalom
First run 10:00 CET / Second run 13:30 CET - Tofane Alpine Skiing Centre (Cortina d'Ampezzo)
After nine events that will never be forgotten, we’re left with the final alpine event at the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympic Games.
So far, the Winter Games have been a big disappointment for American slalom icon Mikaela Shiffrin, having missed out on medals, but Wednesday’s action will see Shiffrin in action during her favourite discipline. After having failed to reach the podium in the team combined event (where Shiffrin ran the slalom), Shiffrin will certainly be looking to put things right at the Stelvio course.

Shifrin is likely to be challenged by Croatia's 21-year-old and slalom World Cup winner Zrinka Ljutic and Switzerland's Camille Rast, who last year became the first Swiss racer since 1991 to win the slalom world title.
Sara Hector and Thea Louise Stjernesund, who incredibly finished in the same time in both their first and second run on Sunday to win the silver in the giant slalom, will likely also be vying to top the podium, as will the reigning Olympic champion, Petra Vlhova, who made her long-awaited return to competition in the team combined last week.
Ice hockey: Canada vs Czech Republic (men's quarter-final)
16:40 CET - Santa Giulia Ice Hockey Arena (Milan)
The 2024 World Champions Czech Republic, will seek to get revenge against Canada after a humiliating 5-0 defeat in their opening group match at the Winter Olympics.
The 2025 4 Nations Face-Off champions, captained by Sidney Crosby (Pittsburgh Penguins) and boosted by tournament points leader Connor McDavid (Edmonton Oilers), will go head to head with a Czech side stacked with NHL talent, among of which are David Pastrnak (Boston Bruins), and their top scorer, Colorado Avalanche forward Martin Necas who helped to book their place in the quarter-finals in a 3-2 win against Denmark.
Canada topped the podium at the Games in 2002, 2010, and 2014, and will look for their fourth Olympic gold medal with such a formidable lineup. Canada’s last Olympic meeting with the Czechs came six years ago in PyeongChang, when they secured a 6-4 win and a bronze medal without the presence of their NHL stars.
Canada lost to the Czechs in the famous semi-final at the 1998 Nagano Olympics, when Wayne Gretzky was left out of the shootout, and the Czechs went on to win gold.
